What is Urea?
Urea is white crystalline solid organic compound and manufactured in “Prilled” form. Urea is considered an organic compound because it contains carbon. It is soluble in water. Its chemical formula is CO(NH2)2.

Usage
“Prilled urea” is widely used in agriculture as nitrogen rich fertilizer. Urea is produced in excess of 140,000,000 tons per year worldwide, of which more than 90% of world production is destined for use as a fertilizer.Granular urea is chemically the same as prilled urea. Granular urea, however, is slightly larger and harder. Today, the use of prilled urea is more prevalent because it is more resistant to breaking down when being blended with the other components of fertilizer.
